Do you use your treadmill as a laundry rack? Did you sell it only to purchase another, more expensive laundry rack?
Do you have a collection of dusty workout DVD's? Are you hanging on to your VHS workout tapes?
How about that all-in-one, "as seen on TV" gym taking up space in the garage where your car should be?
I was THAT person.
My bookshelf boasted of cookbooks from the latest diet craze and my pantry was loaded with remnants of the diet foods needed to facilitate the many failed diets. But it didn't stop there. My medicine chest held an assortment of cleanses, detox potions & diet pills.
I had the DESIRE to make a big change in my life. What I didn't have was the KNOWLEDGE or SKILL to reverse a lifetime of habits that were detrimental to the healthy lifestyle I craved.
I wanted to learn how to exercise in a safe manner and be STRONG. I wanted to learn how to nourish my body. Food can do so much more than fill the void! I wanted to reverse ineffective and unhealthy habits and create healthy disciplines for my life.
Desire alone didn't make it happen. ACTION - hiring my first personal trainer started me on the path to the future I wanted - the future I am living today.
Do you have the desire for change but aren't sure what your next step is? Wishes & desire don't make it happen. Have a conversation. Talk with a personal trainer and if needed, talk to several until you find someone that will motivate you and help you gain the discipline needed to reach your goals and create the future that you desire.
PS: you don't have to wait until Monday to start something new. Any day ending in "day" is a great DAY to begin!
